Thanks for sharing this. I am a state licensed Class 1 Water Treatment Plant Operator, and it truly amazes me that the public is so willing to pay such high premiums for bottled water, when our tap water is cheaper and much more highly regulated.

I can say, with 100% honesty, that I have never purchased a bottle of water in my life….not for political reasons, just sheer common sense. I’ve gotten by just perfectly with ordinary tap water.

My father’s two cents:

OK, the Japanese, who have worked a lot on water technology, refer to RO water as dead water – since as noted it the article there is nothing in it. The problem as I understand it is that RO water in the body is looking for chemical reactions to help it stabilize and thus will remove minerals etc from the cells of the body – depleting you. Footnote: we used RO water in some of our (Metal Container/Anheuser-Busch)Plants to conduct the final rinse of chemically treated cans before further processing – the RO water would grab any remaining salts, minerals or biological growth from the cans and was very effective at it. I would definitley not knowingly drink any RO water.

Ask your friend about alkaline versus acidic water. Also some of the Coke and Pepsi waters use RO – if you test them they are usually quite acidic.

Hi, You once mentioned something about getting your own spring water in GA and bottling it in 5 gallon containers. Can you tell me where you went to do that? I can’t seem to find your post
