Tweet I recently came across a blog written by Yogi Cameron, and although I’m approaching his teachings with a healthy dose of scepticism (as I do every newcomer or new idea in my life) this excerpt brought a broad smile to my face…and eyes “Real youth is seen in a person’s eyes not the skin....

That’s what everyone sees in your eyes D, which is why so many people love you. You have somehow managed to hold onto a large part of your youthful innocence despite the rigors of the world. If you had an industrial strength facial accident and a double mastectomy, you would still be one of those people.
You are a smart woman !!!! I hope the presents that Teresa and I sent you for Christmas, brought a smile to your face and soul. God Bless you Dagmar, what a gift to the world you are ! Your smile affects people in such a way that words cannot describe their feelings. Happy New Year lady !
We miss you very much. Hope all si well for you!!!
Thank you for all the lives you have touched with your smile, generosity and living light that eminates from within you. May God continue to bless your life and smile on you.
We sure miss the bright sunny smiles you gave us whenever the weather was gray. Thank you for your gift of encouragment and strength. I pray you will find your source of strength in God through the calm and stormy days.
Very sound quote. Also wanted to mention that it is smart to be an open minded skeptic, after all good teachings should be easy to cross-reference and confirm its soundness.
“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” – Buddha
Hey, are you gonna let me know what you’re doin’ out there?? Are you workin’ with the Oregon Aquarium people… or picking grapefruits or what??!! I’m in the dark here. I wanna know what my favorite girl is doing. Sorry, if I seem a little pushy.
I hadn’t heard why you left our Atlanta station and did a search this morning and saw that you had also left town. A little more digging and I saw why. Oh honey, I am so very, very sorry. I cried outloud as I read what had happened and prayed for you that the Lord would heal your heart. You will certainly be missed here but maybe this move will be what makes the difference.
Praying you find peace,
Christi
I went to Yogi Cameron’s web page and watched his little video. The beautiful people of the world have all the answers when they’re young. The ego is a fragile and destructive thing… or otherwise known as vanity. At our age we’re only beginning to understand what old people already know… Life is short and you’re wasting your time with self-indulgent fantasies of perfection and self-righteous living. Do your best, yes, but enjoy your life and what God has given you and stop worrying about everything. That’s all you can do. One minute we are sad, the next we are happy. We make wise choices. We make foolish choices. In the end, I think we will all regret having thought too much about things and the time we wasted trying to figure it out.
Hey Ms Midcap…My uncle Guy is 84 years old and just diagnosed with a brain tumor. He lost his wife 9 months ago. He says he is “your biggest fan!” They have only given him a few months to live and I wanted to ask you a hugh favor…could you PLEASE send him a note, picture, just anything. It would really mean the world to him! He watched you every night when you were in Atlanta! Thank you sooo much in advance! Here’s his info…

“Hope” is the thing with feathers
by Emily Dickinson
“Hope” is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all
And sweetest in the Gale is heard
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm
I’ve heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest Sea
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb of Me.
For your own personal safety I would very much NOT like to see you go, but if you did travel to Egypt you could single-handedly quiet the masses with one interview and a smile. On second thought, I think I’ll call the Coca-Cola company and see if I can get them to change their old slogan to “Have a Coke and a Dagmar”.
You are such a special person because you try harder than anyone I know to make other people happy. For a beautiful woman such as yourself to put so much energy and care into smiling, telling a story, caring for animals, taking care of yourself, posting blogs on your webpage, dressing beautifully yet everyday tastefully so as to not put on heirs in front of others because of your success, working, talking clearly and caringly toward others so that they can be the best version of themselves, living your life to the fullest despite the critcism of others, despite the horrid comments of the lecherous men of the world, despite the death of the most cared about individual in your life, despite all of it… you still managed to rise above all of it and put on a great show for the world to see. There has never been a dry eye in the house when you were on TV. You were and are adored by literally millions of people, and they will always remember you. I know you will always have a place in my heart.
Incidentally, I wanted to tell you this before Valentine’s Day because it was on my heart.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
thank you…thank you…thank you My uncle received your picture today and talking about seeing karma in an elderly persons eyes…you made that happen today! He called me and I could “hear” him smiling with a sparkle in his eye!!! He says he’s putting it in his living room so he can see it all day. Words can’t express how much I appreciate you doing this for him. God bless you Dagmar!
We miss you in Atlanta so much Dagmar. We hope you are healing. Please try to let us know how you are – not meaning to intrude. You are beautiful inside and out and we love you!!
