Whether it’s a boo-boo on the back of my hand or a blemish on my nose, one of my very favorite skin soothing treatments is fresh Aloe Vera leaf. I buy the whole aloe leaf (organic if possible) and keep them in the fridge….
Good morning Dagmar. Aloe Vera is wonderful. Growing-up on the coast of Texas caused a few burns(lot)… Never heard back from you after you left Atlanta…You don’t remember a few back-in- forths we had from BMA till primetime, and an ignorant guy called you something less than flattering(female dog),.. I threw him thru a wall… You said,”Don’t your a big girl,it doesnt hurt”.. BULL!… I Love You like a younger sister… I cannot take people bad- mouthing YOU!…Forever….

When I was a teenager, I worked in a furniture manufacturing plant. One of the machines there was used to automate the process of gluing wood together. The glue sprayer had become clogged and as fate would have it, I just happened to be walking by the machine when the pressure had built up enough to clear the sprayer. Hot glue shot all over my clothes, but it was the molten glue on my hand that really got my attention! Molten glue is a wee bit difficult to get off your hand when it’s covered in it. As a tough-guy teenager, I acted like it was no big deal, but actually, it was very painful. The shift superviser led me to his office where he had this plant. He started pulling the leaves off and squeezing the juice out of the leaves and onto my hand. I couldn’t believe how much better my hand felt! I asked, “what is that plant”? He replied, “it’s an aloe vera plant”. I’ll never forget that. Pain has a way of teaching me the most memorable lessons.
Dagmar,
Chip Franklin here from KOGO, FM 95.7/am600
Welcome to San Diego, and just wanted to let you know that we started talking about you a week or so back, and the phones lit up.
You’re already a hit.
best of luck!
Chip
This is Sandy Eggo baby. Get a small aloe @ home cheapo. Put it in a big pot on your patio. Keep it watered. All the fresh organic aloe you will ever need…
Thanks for the kind words and the uplifting email:) It really helps to read positive feedback like that. Enjoy the rest of your holidays and have a wonderful New Year.
RE: Chip Franklin……Come on Dagmar ! Everyone in Atlanta knew you would be a hit in San Diego. That’s why we want you back. You lite up the TV not just the telephone lines.
Having grown up in a small town in Georgia nowhere near the ocean, I decided to follow a dream. I loaded up my vehicle and drove to Hermosa Beach, California. It was December and I couldn’t believe I could take off my shoes and walk in the sand and water without freezing. I had never been to California or seen the Pacific ocean before that point. You’ve found a wonderful home.

Hi Dagmar
I travel from Atlanta to San Diego at least once a year and often visit Del Mar and Oceanside beaches. Maybe i’ll see you one day out there with your dogs….
P.S. Tell that news anchor of yours to quit calling you “Dag.” Your name is Dagmar.
Snapped this picture on my way to work last week. 4 construction workers huddled together, towering over the palm tree lined shores of Del Mar as they worked to prepare metal scaffolding for several layers of Christmas Tree ornamentation.
Very nice pic. I have a feeling Christmas in San Diego will be very different than your previous Christmases. Welcome to SD….You’re make it worth watching the weather!
I thought I already made a comment here, but I don’t see it. Welcome to San Diego Dagmar. You make watching the weather–usually a pretty boring time here in SD–a pleasure.
This was the shot from beside the basin for the WWII Carrier Midway facing San Diego Bay during the America’s Cup during my first live hit for NBC 7 on November 17th.
I’d bet anything my dad flew over that ship many times during the war. He was stationed on Tinian island in The Pacific (not too far from Midway) where his B-29 crew flew 35 missions to Japan.

Watching you give the weather induced my perusing through your web-site. Listed are my quick thoughts as a list of things about you: expansive, higher order, multi-talented, popular, seeker of adventure, carefully dangerous, and 30 other things.
You intrique me. I am a teacher in National City, 3rd grade. If you are available as a single woman, I’d enjoy walking with you and your dogs on the beach. I am not rich nor the most handsome, but I am funny and a Texas gentleman.
