For folks reading this, the shelter is apparently not one of those dodgy shelters we see horror stories about. According to reviews, the only issues are funding and the building. March 4, 2010 - 7:10 pm Susan - Thank you so much for trying to help this shelter. My organization, Leftover Pets, has been helping Gloria for the past 4 years. We take her dogs to adoption events, help her get them spay/neutered, vaccinated, tested for heartworms. We treat the ones that are positive. Over the years we have also sent quite a few to other states (mostly NY) where they have found wonderful homes. We are very excited and hope that many people will work together to make this a happier place for animals as they wait on a forever home.

Let me know when is the next outing. I'm just a hammer swinger, but I work with a bunch of guys who know how to design anything you want to build.

I have been volunteering with the Homeless Pets Foundation since Oct of 2007. Very gratifying walking, bathing, and driving the dogs and cats to get them permanent homes.

March 17, 2010 - 6:38 am c. jackson clarke - with wagging tails, soothing purrs and even a quick lick on the tip of our nose;pets love us with an unconditional love no person could ever quite match. a heavenly creation and glorious gift to us all providing our lives joy,laughter,happiness and the most loyal friend you will ever have.how could we ever justify turning our backs on such a creature? animal shelters do a tremendously necessary service giving help and a home to our furry little friends. now this shelter needs our help.please donate supplies to and/or adopt an animal from this shelter. these little guys deserve to be safe and happy...don't they!! please email news@cbsatlanta.com
