How are you coming with your job search decision?
I think the middle of our lives is one of the most difficult times for us. We know that we cannot recover our youth and the joys that came with it, though we’d like to remember fondly. We do not yet have the ability to appreciate the simple nature of old age – having friends everywhere who are truly are friends ready to help at a moment’s notice because they know that helping a friend is more important than anything they have on their own agenda. So, we are stuck in this time of indifference and lack of certainty. We have the ability, but are lost in direction and purpose. The energy that motivated us before seems gone. We know we are beginning a life change, maybe our last significant change of finding and using our God-given purpose of what we were put on the earth for, and maybe we are a little afraid of not making the right choice. It is a real soul-searching time waiting for the answer to so many questions. You are not alone.

I watched the video clip “It’s Me or The Dog” Friday night and Saturday. I had no idea. It took real guts to share that with everyone. I commend you and thank you for allowing those of us who care about you to let us in that much. It’s really extroadinary that I still can’t believe it. I understand Dagmar Midcap’s life over the past few years a whole lot better than I did before. That video more than touched my life. My heart now has a greater capacity of understanding and forgiving others and seeing past outward appearance of circumstances. But, at the same time… I have to be honest and say that I am angry with God for allowing these things to happen to people who care. It seems like we are all affected in a hurtful way that causes us to lose faith, hope and love. I will forever be humbled by the loving, yet haunting nature of seeing it. Why do relationships have to be so doggone difficult anyway? Why can’t we just fall in love and everything go smoothly?

The will to survive and thrive is different for all of us. As with Cinnamon, it has a lot to do with the state of mind and the support and encouragement from others. I suppose the lesson is, “Don’t give up” because there is someone out there that can make your world a better place.
Animals can provide us humans a lot to learn about overcoming obstacles. I always look forward to seeing my sheltie, Gunner, every evening.
I had a dream last night and now realize when I meet you. I was walking the beach in Siesta Key, Fl from the public beach to the home on the left set on the jetty. As I returned to the public beach area, I notice a gorgeous red headed woman in a red bathing suit. It was a HOT day, and I thought myself how hard it was for someone so sun sensitive to be on the beach. I returned to my car and walked to the secondary food stand to take my last look at the ocean as I was to drive back to Atlanta, GA. I noticed the woman from the beach returning to the parking lot. VERY ATTRACTIVE! As I left the food stand to head to the parking lot, you came toward the food stand. I said ‘Hello’ and you responded which surprise me, as most people are not friendly. They like to think they are. I was surprised how tall you were and the fact that you looked straight at the person’s eyes. Now, years later I am watching the eleven o’clock news with my father visiting from Fl. I say to him, this woman is really attractive. He thinks I am nuts! Now I understand why you looked familiar. Dreams are amazing things. I swear this happened, I remember your eyes. I know it crazy. I always thought, why didn’t I ask that women to lunch or coffee? If I had only taken a moment, I am sure I would have found you to be a very nice person. I wanted to make a skydive before sunset, so off I went to the DZ. I am sorry for your loss in Atlanta. Boy, did you have it good here! I think I am crazy, well I have jumped from airplanes for 22 years, however you need to find you way in life. Worry is a waste of time! Blue Skies Always!
Just out of the blue today, one of your pictures crossed my mind that I saw awhile back… the one of you kneeling on a rock over a babbling brook wearing a country girl hat reaching into the water as though you were fishing for something. As I was thinking of the picture I thought to myself, “How could any man with a heart look at that picture and not be moved?” There are so many positive emotions that stir the soul… humility, strength, joy, love, candor, easy-going, positive, fearless, kindred, spirit, steadfast, determined… and on and on…

Yea! Dagmar is working again! I know that comes as a mixed blessing. I’m sure it will feel good to be involved in a new adventure, meeting new people, and living in one of the best climates in the country (so I’ve heard). I can see by the stress in your face that it will be a challenge too. You can do it! I have faith. So, everybody raise a glass to honor Dagmar in a toast to her new and exciting life. I bet she’ll make another 10 million people smile!

I recently got a dog after 25 yrs without one…and I was inspired by you rescuing animals…He was as we call it in NW BC a “rez dog” I bought him for $40…The cutest pup in the litter and he picked me…I knew I could give him a better life in town with me…I Love my lil Harley…He has one blue eye and one brown..a border collie/husky cross…so full of energy but a whole lot of fun!
I know you have been through a tough situation and I feel for you (((HUGS)))…but always remember your fans and friends are always here to support you.

Your story could be written like a movie that would make you cry and warm the soul. I have been a fan of yours since you were the weather girl on BCTV and driving television. It sadened me to see you in a sad state after your loss, I am glad to see you have gotten stronger. It’s sometimes easier to see why someone is ‘taken’ than it is to understand why a person would take their own life. Those left behind will continue to struggle with ‘what if?’ and ‘where did I miss the signs?’, signs that are painfully obvious in hindsight. The best we can do is move forward to help heal pain in ourselves and in others.

Dagmar, I miss seeing you in Atlanta but understand you completely. The love of my life came to me some time ago, but there were mental problems that she had that would never make our relationship normal. We were together about 3 years. Things caused us to lose one another, but we had a love so deep that I think about her almost every day. I moved on and met someone who I love dearly, but Connie will always have a place in my heart and my soul that is her’s. I think back and wonder what I could have done differently. I think about the past but live in the present, and am grateful for how God has blessed me. Like you, I am a free spirit who loves animals and trying to eat healthy, and that causes me to relate to you even more. There are great things ahead for you. You are a wonderful person with a good heart. The fond memories of our past are always there for us, but at the same time, I look forward to the coming memories I still haven’t experienced.

Hi Dagmar. I had to look you up and see where your at. I think you are a special and talented lady – and Atlanta is not the same without you! The west coast is so beautiful, and the air is so nice without all that humidity we have here. I used to live up the coast from you in central california, around Pismo Beach. No matter where you are in California, north coast, south coast, or inbetween the weather is usually nice. You look like you are healing and enjoying yourself – which is good – take care.
Dear Dagmar, it’s so wonderful to see you smiling again. You’ve had plenty of inspirational messages already, so I won’t add too much of it. The Lord is most with us when we’re most alone and helpless, and we have to remember that everything changes, even when we think it never will.
Speaking of ‘Ithaka’ (Ithaca, NY is 18 mi. from my home) it should feel pretty good to know that there are 4300 supplicants worshipping at the Goddess of Midcap’s altar. You stay visible, we’ll stay loyal.

I am thinking of the first day I saw you on the news. It was Christmastime in 2008. My heart raced. On January 1st, I sent you my first email just hoping for a response. You did not disappoint. I felt alive and my hope was renewed. The more I learned about you the more inspired I became. Your past. Your involvement. Your triumphs. Your losses. Your everlasting smile and energy. I am thinking now of that scene in “As Good As It Gets” where Nicholson says, “You make me want to be a better man.” I may have written that before. It still applies. I wish I was a better man. You deserve more than you’ve received. If I could take away the years of hurt, or apologize for the lies, the cowardice, the lust, the lack of care shown to you, whatever it is that has most hurt you, I would. If I could give you back the years stolen from you by hurtful men so that you could be young and fully restored again, I would. My cup runneth over. Looks like your dog enjoys the water and beach. Make sure you take him to Dog Beach which is right by Huntington Beach. It’s quite a unique place.

I have a cousin and her husband who are moving from Jacksonville to Lemoore, California around Christmas. He’s in the military. They want to get back to the West Coast where it’s drier and cooler. They lived in Oak Harbor Washington for a few years prior to Jax and loved it. Wish I could tag along. I’d love to get back to the beach where I could enjoy the water, bum around in the sun, etc. I miss Florida… especially all there was to do. Everyone in a big city just works all the time where stress is king. Real people enjoying simple fun is hard to find in the city. Everyone’s too busy working. I like a little yardwork, painting, fixing little household problems that I can, teaching others computing or golf. Taking out the trash and cleaning litter boxes… no problem. Grocery store shopping, occasional cooking, doing the dishes… no problem. If I could combine the Andy Griffith Show with the beach, some sports, a little travel, taking regular timeouts to watch the animals play in my backyard, and Dagmar fixing me a healthy meal now and then while I enjoy a greasy ‘ol cheeseburger in between… I’d be all set. Can anyone say, “A little slice of heaven!” Maybe I want too much. Nah!

I was appalled to read something similar happened to you. I made the same experience about four weeks ago. My girlfriend I loved more than everything died in a tragic accident. Still I have no idea how much it will change my life and I still do not realize that she’s not alive anymore. Maybe discovering new countries and new experiences can help … I don’t know … Yes, life continues but yet I have no idea how …

Our company is celebrating its 18th year in business tomorrow. I’ve been there for over 7 now. It has definitely been a rollercoaster ride these past couple of years. Actually, more like we dropped down the big drop and kept dropping is more like it. At least I could come home at night, turn on the TV, and see a beautiful smiling face with the joy and charm of about 1000 people stuffed impossibly into a tiny little body. That was my 5-hour energy drink. I’m not so sure I want to see her in front of a camera on a daily basis again though. The biz has got to be especially rough on honest and loving souls. I don’t want to see her worn down like a used pinball machine. I wonder how her therapy is going though. I wonder where she’ll be in a year or two. I wonder if she’ll be living in a foreign land even farther away. I wonder.

I’m so very sad to read of the terribly shocking passing of your loved one. My heart goes out to you. Please trust and believe that although at this moment in time, you may not have any understanding or vision of a future without pain and emotional agony, time will allow your mind to rebuild. You will never forget the love of your life, she will always live in your heart and mind, but the day will come when you will be able to think of her and a smile will replace the tears that now fall. At this point in your life you will have to find the strength to live one minute at a time, but the nightmare you are currently enduring will diminish and lose its power over you. It may seem impossible to imagine today, but there is a brighter future ahead. And please remember most of all, she would have and will always want to see you enjoy life

Due to financial hardship, I moved to Atlanta to take advantage of a job opportunity in 2007. It was a physically and mentally draining experience that left me asking myself, “What have I done”. Life, for a number of reasons, was not enjoyable. Many times, I have put myself in positions that left me with few choices. This was yet another. It was time to “Man-UP” and put forth that effort that seems to only show itself when I have backed myself into a corner. So, I did. As grueling as it was, there was this pleasant distraction that mesmerized me. Part of my job is to monitor the news and on channel 46, there was this spirited, enthusiastic, breath of fresh air. I also have to track weather conditions, but I found that after seeing Dagmar Midcap deliver the weather forecast, my recollection of what she said left my head. That “breathy” voice and that smile that lights up a room left me dumbfounded.
That job led to another opportunity and so, I left Atlanta in 2010. Before leaving, I noticed that lovely weather girl was no longer gracing the big screen. I miss her.
My new job has taken me a while to master and that being the case, my head has been buried in learning the in’s and out’s. Recently, a hurricane (Irene) reminded me of that weather girl I was so fond of seeing on the news. Searching for her on the Internet, I find myself here.
Dagmar, I am sorry to hear about what has happened to you. When bad things happen to good people, it changes them forever and thus their course in life. You have changed your course and left Atlanta. You are truly missed. You have changed your course and started a blog that allows people to share with you the impact you’ve had on their lives and at the same time, they may provide some comfort to you. I hope so.

Being a ‘victim’ of childhood horrific crimes I have always wondered ‘why’. You’re amazing smile, beautiful personality and delightful way gives me hope that there is life after tragic events. First time seeing you was tonight on the SD NBC 6 p.m. weather segment. My immediate thought was – wow, she’s beautiful and easy to listen to as well. OK, you can believe what you want – I’m an old, love starved, creepy old man. I hope that’s not true. I have four of my own daughters and two steps and a bunch of grand kids. I also had the good luck to meet up with my back fence neighbor when we were in high school and we are happy together. So there! You can make what you wish of that. I was probing around your web site and your pictures and stuff.
I am very sorry to hear about your loss and your having to go through a mourning process. That must have been very tough. The fact that you are out here in So Cal and stronger than ever just proves what a strong and wonderful person you are. I wish I were young again and were free to pursue some of the interests that you have and I admire you for that your concerns and interests.
One of my daughters became an MD because of what I said to her one night while she was in middle school. I almost lost her to alcoholism over the last ten years. Luckily she is doing well in recovery. My point here is that the things we say and the examples we set may influence people we know or don’t know in ways we never expected. You are in such great position to influence so many people.
I failed retirement by volunteering at the local community television station, KOCT in Oceanside. My greatest satisfaction is being able to kepp busy and to work with some of the fantistic young interns we have at the station. They are high school and college age and are amazing kids in so many ways. It gives one great hope for the future of our society even though we see so many kids with problems and unacceptable cercumstances in their lives. They are all smart if given the chance and the nurturing. You are in a great position to do that in many ways.
It was great to see you on NBC this evening and look forward to your soothing face and voice in the months to follow. I hope you are able to fully recover from your sad loss and can continue to fulfill your dreams and passions.

I must say, now that I’ve read your musings and the accounts of trials and loss that you have experienced, I am even more impressed. I truly hope that you will be here for many many years. Your beauty is classic, I told my family that you remind me of a Gil Elvgren model. Best wishes for a long and successful career.
Profound loss can send most human beings into a tailspin, which is part of the grief process. The length of that process varies from person to person, but there comes a time to where it is just stuck energy and is impeding forward motion in an individual’s life. My mission is to let people know that there are non-drug, natural solutions for grief, sadness and anger as well as trauma-related PTSD responses. Those of us who have used what is generally called EFT process (I have used it successfully for over 20 years) continue to call upon the VA and other agencies to incorporate this effective healing work into their treatment programs. With so many troops returning from war, the VA is overwhelmed with caseloads of PTSD sufferers who need help NOW!
EFT can be used in groups, individually and even over the phone, by trained practitioners.
For a loss, such as Dagmar has suffered, an hour of EFT will neutralize the emotional burden and associated depression that years of “therapy” can’t clear up. EFT processes don’t “erase” the memories, whoever the emotional connection is neutralized, allowing the ability to release the event from being the pivot point in one’s life.
Anyone can learn it and kids LOVE use it daily, as they go through the ups and downs of growing up in today’s world. I am available for free presentations in the SD area for those who are working with trauma clients or just loved ones who have been stuck in an emotional hole for extended periods of time. It is healing for the 21st Century and everyone should learn this valuable and easy to use technique for the benefit of their families and communities. I urge you all to consider investigating this powerful, non-harming work.

These are great pictures. I have a rescue dog, a Malamute I’ve had about 10 years. She’s my best friend. It looks like you are doing well. We still miss you in Georgia.
I have to say your pictures are great!!!!!!! Your ” babies” are just tooo precious. I have two Basset Hounds Tesa Mae and Spencer Wayne and I enjoy taking their picture also. Nothing beats the love and comfort animals bring.
Those are nice looking pictures, the camera has really good resolution to them. What kind of camera are you using? I am glad to see you loving Santa Monica, I wish I was there instead of in the frigid north.

I have 3 dogs and 2 birds. They all think they are human!
They are my babies. I have a Blue and Gold Macaw (Barcelona), A Red Sided Eclectus (Frankie) A Weimaraner (Jed) and 2 Cocker Spaniels (Pepper and Caesar). The Birds are just like 2 year olds they never grow up and move away!!!!

That must be a good camera, it take’s a pretty picture.true the model’s are flawless, but the color and detail is very clear. I had a dog with a pink spot allmost like that on her nose,her name was charlotte but some called her pinky because of that spot.
Good pictures. I have a black lab mix, but can’t get a good photo of her since she is so black. I’ve said that I need to have a professional do it. Also considered artist portrait. They are not too enthusiastic about that though.

Atlanta has had such miserable weather lately, and your sunny smile would have made it infinitely more bearable. Your road trip to the west coast would make a beautiful book. Pets really soothe the soul. I have Pewter Fledermaus, Felix the Frumious Bandersnatch, Fiona, Sinead, and Balderdash, all rescues; the first two are dogs and the last three are cats. Wish you could look up Doris Day and her animal rescue efforts in California. She has been through difficult times in her life, too, and her animals kept her sunny.
Boy! What lucky guys! All bathed and clipped, shined up and ready for a show, but I’ll bet they’d rather go for a walk and just play than go to some stinky old show. Just like a guy, huh! Boy, I wish somebody would bath me and clip me and wash the dust out of my fur! Some guys have all the luck. 
OK, I’ll just go with the positives… I’m attentive, consciencious and fun. I don’t bark except when I get excited or scared. I haven’t bitten anybody. I’m loyal and trustworthy, but I have not been neutered. I’m holdin’ out on that one. If there’s a lady whose smiling and walking towards me with a knife in her
hand, I do tend to run. Though I’m not in a cage, I’m very lonely and left all to myself. I’m pretty sure I don’t have heartworms (maybe a few headworms). I’m cheap to own, like to eat bad food, and am dry at night (unless provoked). If your boys would like to have me for a friend I would love to be a part of the luckiest dogs on earth. …and bird.

Hey Dagmar, I was just reading an article about an actress who struggled in her life. I won’t say who but… I had an awful thought that… I hope you’re not letting things get to you. I will be very angry with you if you are, and so will alot of other people. You have inspired literally tens of thousands of people to be better versions of themselves than they otherwise would’ve been. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I had given up believing that somebody like you even existed anymore. And now that I know you do exist I am so thankful. Don’t heap pressure on yourself to perform or feel that you have to look like you’re 21. The beauty you possess on the inside far outweighs the outside. Like God gives us grace for free… just accept that you are loved by many and there are many who would do things for you just because it makes them happy to give back a little bit of what you gave them. Do you understand? I wish I could help more, but dang it… you moved 3000 miles away.

I just adopted a puppy 6 months ago…it has been an adventure but alot of fun and I now have a walking/jogging partner…He also knows how to turn on the sad eyes to get treats…ha ha

It is clucking fold here in Atlanta. I think it’s in the twenties as I post this. Nothing that a log in the fire and a glass of Henny won’t cure. Enjoy SoCal and may you find the path that you seek. You sure are missed around here.

I had contacted you a number of times to see if you could help us publicize blood drives. You explained that you don’t control the stories you can cover and passed my info to Steve Schwaid and he did cover a story when we delivered hundreds of stuffed “Beau the Bloodhound” (our mascot) to children undergoing treatment (mostly cancer) at local hospitals.
I had contacted Steve after you announced your departure. I had wanted to do a special blood drive in YOUR honor which would serve two purposes…HONORING YOU, of course but also generating more interest in blood donation in Atlanta. We are a non-profit and depend on the generosity of the media to “get the word out”. Steve recently posted a story with pictures on the CBS Atlanta website when the Dunwoody Police Department won a “blood donor challenge” against Sandy Springs.
I really wish you were still here. I’m looking forward to finding out when you next hit the airwaves…maybe I can watch via Internet.

The Beach looks great, love you dog ,looks very kind. You may be in LA but I could tell in a minute you are a Western Canadian Girl, they have an attraction all of their own. I met you years ago at the International Auto Show in Toronto. I asked if you would sit on the V-Rod Harley with me for a photo. Oh my gosh you’re gone!!???? I’m a bit slow in realizing this since I normally watch “The Weather Channel” for my information. Those times when I would watch the local Atlanta weather report, I would always turn to see and hear you. You were wonderful to watch…and that voice; I just loved it. Not a lot of foolishness during your weather report, which is so common with others. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for smart redheads. And you are definitely that.
I understand “My Beautiful Blue Pacific” since I’m originally from the Los Angeles area. I get back home about nine weeks per year to vacation and to check on clients. Every trip I make sure I get to the Pacific to relax and grab an ocean side lunch or dinner.
I can’t wait until my next trip back to Los Angeles, and I hope to see your wonderful self, on some local L.A. station, doing what you do best.

If you get a chance, take the drive due north from Sedona toward Grand Canyon, on Highway 89. Weather permitting, you’ll want to ride with the top down! Sedona is a wonderful place of spirtual healing and renewal.
Correction, thats Alt. 89 toward Flagstaff. Only need to go about 15 miles or so. Enjoy.

First of all, you have to love anyone who would shower under a watering can, and think it was enjoyable! Second, nice photo! A rainbow is a sign of a new beginning. Of course you will still have the smelly dogs and chatty bird! I have live in Atlanta for 15 years and still don’t have it on my top five places I have lived. From what I see you loved the area and had a great job. I know, a job is a job. My advise, stop often on your travels and enjoy the moments! The dogs need to stretch!

Dagmar, your bright smile will not fade from my memory. You brought a quality to the weather report which I have not seen in my 40 years in broadcasting. It was not until your departure that I learned of the personal tragedy you’ve been suffering. I shall keep you in my prayers. As a side note, I should have guessed such a beauty came from one of my favorite cities. I spent a year in Vancouver, where I designed the tech facilities for CKVU-TV, which became Citytv Vancouver. Great city, great people.

We both grew up in California and originally met in 1971 in Thousand Oaks. After 38 years of marriage and 24 years with the Air Force living all over the world we have now settled near Lake Chatuge in North Carolina. It’s wonderful to know that you’re on the way to a new life. Even though I wasn’t in a position to watch CBS 46 live, I never failed to log onto their website at 4:00 PM daily. Hope those of us not where you’ll live will be able to see you again somehow.
I want to let you know how badly I felt when I found out why you left Georgia (not a local, and didn’t know about your guy until your goodbye message). That’s really rough, and for an obviously sensitive lady such as yourself, unthinkable.
I don’t want this to sound like a love letter (I’m old enough to be your father) but in a sense, it is. The sight (and sound, lovely voice and laught) made my day, no matter how rotten, every single day. Life has been pretty dreary the last 6 weeks, and the thought that we might see you again in any distant way is very uplifting. You are honestly the loveliest woman I’ve seen in my 66 years (and my own wife is no slouch, believe me) and you seem to be a genuinely nice person as well.
I wish you all the best in whatever you decide to do, but I sure do hope it’s somehow publicly visible.

I finally turned on the Channel 46 news last night and found the “replacement” they hired for you… I won’t be going back.
Things appeared to have started to go downhill the last few months that you were there. Adding “Gomer” Martinez (like you needed back-up or some such), replacing Kim… I guess they just forgot who their target audience was. I hope that that didn’t add to the stress you were feeling.
Ah, well. Done is done.
If I could ask one favor, tell the quakes for me that I don’t miss ‘em at all, but I sure do miss the ocean, the mountains and, especially, the desert. I spent the first eighteen years of my life knocking around out there and I do miss it so. And, if you would, while you’re at it, if you happen to pass by Williams Lake look up at the poles along side the road. I made some of those snow depth marks many years ago. You’ll have to look up high; it was pretty deep.
Well, good luck in all you do. I have an idea that whatever it is that you decide to do you will land on your feet (or, at least come up swinging).

When I read the story this morning and realized your love for animals, I thought that maybe on your way back to the West Coast, you might stop in at a horse ranch or farm in Wyoming, Colorado, Montana or anywhere in between and possibly stay on as a hired hand, I’m sure there will be plenty of work which will benefit the body and plenty of love from the animals for the soul.

You were the hi-lite of my evenings. I waited everynight for you to do the weather for us. Your calm, even delivery were a joy to watch and listen to.
We all suffer losses in our lives – some minor, some major, but we must cope with those losses and move forward.
I have lost both my parents, Aunts, Uncles and my “Relative Bank” is running on empty. Each loss was no less tragic than the last, but I give thanks everyday that I still have my health and keep on “Truckin’ on”.
Eventually the pain will lessen with each passing day and I found that work was the best medicine for grief.
So PLEASE reconsider your choice to leave. We enjoy you so much….

I liked you when I 1st saw you, I loved you when you came to Dawsonville & literally put us on the map, the weather map that is. We appreciate Jennifer for keeping us there. I will miss you on tv and your billboard pics. I had no idea, up until early this week, of the issues that you have faced in the last 14 months–but being near family is very likely the best thing that you can do for yourself at this time.
I noted on an Auburn Football message board that prior to retirement in late 2009, I drove across downtown Atlanta between Newnan and Alpharetta for several years and that your billboard pictures during the last few were the only thing that made that ordeal bearable.

My heart goes out to you..
I do understand your pain and want you to know… although we will miss your cheery nightly weather report you are doing the right thing for yourself and your healing. I moved to Georgia 6 years ago two years after the sudden (car accident) death of my 20 year old son. The first year I was numb.. which is a blessing. The second year when the pain was not muffled by shock the reality set in that he was not coming home was too much to bear.. seeing his room untouched for a year….everywhere there were memories.
We decided to just pack up and move to Georgia… there was no plans.. no job lined up…we just went for it. I have to tell you it saved my sanity. As much as I think of him everyday and miss him more than words can express not having the constant visual memories of our lives together is the best decision I made in my own healing. Your loved one’s live forever in your heart and want you to do what you need to do to heal.
I promise it will get easier…….in time.
I am very sorry for your loss. I can appriciate your decision to leave the place of your hurt behind. I commend the brave face, and constant smile you have shown us through all your hurt. It has been a pleasure having you in Atlanta. Thank you Dagmar for all you brought to Atlanta and to the CBS viewers. May happiness and good fortune find you where ever you may be.
Please know that you will not be far from my thoughts and prayers. We have to take these awful things in life and learn from them to turn them into good. It gives us a sensitivity towards people and their sufferings. It gives us insight into who we are and into the motives of people. We learn more about ourselves in the storm than we can when skies are clear and sunny. Agonizing as the lesson is to learn maybe with the wisdom and insight gained the lesson becomes worth the pain and heartache. And we can use this as motivation to make the world a more loving place by connecting with people in a real way. Seasons change just like our lives are constantly rearranged but the skies will always be sunny again

Words cannot express the void that was left in the hearts of Atlantans when you left CBS. Your love for nature, the beautiful descriptions of sunsets,your smiling face, your weather forecasts included hints about what to wear, and what to watch out for- – - you cared! My heart aches for what you have been through, and I can surely understand your reasoning for leaving. Just know that we will never forget you. I know that you will be in my prayers for sure! Take care of yourself!
My heart goes out to you Dagmar, I lost 2 best friends but not a spouse. I am going to miss you on the weather, your spirit is so playful and joyful. I can’t count the # of times my mom & I commented on how fun you were to watch! At least at this point you know what steps you need to take next. I actually left LA to come here, although I am 2nd guessing that one. Where ever you go, your smile will shine a light so bright through the hearts of everyone in your path. Thank you for giving me many joyous moments in a time, and place, that also hasn’t been exactly good for me either. Live each day to the fullest, laugh, eat some cookies, and love. Don’t forget to learn how 2 have fun! ;p
I’m very sad for you. I don’t know what to say but perhaps picking grapefruits would be a good idea for now? It takes three years or so to start seeing things normally again unless you have a black heart which is not you.

Dagmar, Until I read what happened, my wife and I never new of the the tragic event you were going through. We will miss you and that smile and energy you brought to Atlanta. Dagmar, you have been one of our favorite TV personalities, my wife and I both enjoyed seeing you every evening, and will miss you greatly.
I know you have to follow your heart, and I agree with you, otherwise your emotions will drive you crazy. Everybody will be telling you exactly what you need to do or what you need, all I can say is you know best so do whatever you need to.
However please don’t forget that we all love you dearly and will miss you very much, I wish I could give you a big hug, take care and keep in touch

Hi Dagmar. My family became acquainted with you when we relocated to Atlanta this past March and we turned on the news to your smiling face. You had the sunniest disposition we had ever seen and we just fell in love with you. We will miss you, but please take care of yourself. I believe that God and time will eventually heal all wounds. Know that your “fans” are pulling for you and we look forward to seeing your sparkling face again at some time in the future.
Dagmar, sorry for your loss, you will be fine, you always made me smile. I lost my wife, my love, 5 years ago and she was my salvation after many years alone (Vietnem does strange things to people). I did not know how to keep going, but my Siberian Husk kept me on track I know tou love animals and, hey try one, they are love personified. Be safe and well, Michael.
I looked forward each day @ 4:00 to see you and your reports. I have been away from CBS and did not watch it much until the past year. For the past few weeks I thought you were on vacation and today decided to go on line to see if I could find out what was going on. Speaking for myself, it is a loss for Atlanta and CBS because you will never be replaced. May peace and hope go with you wherever you go.

I was away on a cruise to Alaska and just returned and learned of your departure.
I certainly understand your decision and am very sorry that this tragic event has entered into your life.
I always admired your professionalism and your energetic attitude during the weather reports along with your good looks. You should have no problem finding work out there with your vibrant personality.

Dagmar, I didn’t realize that you had moved. I kept thinking you were on a leave of absence or something. Finally I decided to search for you online. You made the best decision for you, and I applaud that.
However, I just want to say that you were always like a beacon of light on the Atlanta news. Someone that joyful can’t help but infect those watching you. The West Coast is fortunate to have your positive energy in their midst.
My wife and I have been in Washington D.C. acting as hospice caregivers for my mother who recently passed away from an aggressive malignant brain tumor. Upon our return to Atlanta we were surprised you were not appearing on channel 46 any longer. Unfortunately, we just today learned the reasons for your absence; we wish you well, joy and peace. You were a regular member of our evenings for several years and will be remembered. You were a positive force and we shared your love of animals. Best regards.

After watching the news, and the weather, tonight, I got to wondering once again about what in the world happened to Dagmar. I’m so sorry about your loss. I can definitely understand your need to leave Atlanta.
I want to share with you just how much we enjoyed watching you on TV here in Atlanta. Strangely, it felt like you were one of the family. It didn’t start out that way. When you first started doing the weather here, I made the comment that I didn’t like you because you were just so darn cheery, it couldn’t possibly be real…and who names there child Dagmar anyway!..lol But you won me over once I realized what a truly genuine person you were.
I wish you the best of luck in healing and finding your way to happiness again.
The only event that was worst than Dagmar announcing her leaving Atlanta on Sept.3,2010 was when Gen. Sherman telegraphed Washington on Sept.3 1864 that he had captured and burned Atlanta during the Civil War.Since I was born in Atlanta I have some sympathy.

So sorry for your loss. Last year I lost 4 of my family members,and to this day I’m still going through the emotions of their loss. Tweet Marty was one of the featured dogs up for adoption at Barkfest this year. I got the chance to walk him around, introduce him to everyone, and he even got on stage with me at one point. Marty is a well-mannered, loving, sweet dog that is looking for a new family to love him....
